Facing Deportation? We are here to help.

You received a Notice to Appear. Now what?

The Notice to Appear is a short document which usually briefly provides your immigration history and then indicates that you are here unlawfully and therefore “removable”. It will also provides a time and date for you to report to court.

What should you do?

  • Here’s what NOT to do: Ignore it. If you ignore it or don’t show up, you can be assured that you will be ordered removed, making it that much more difficult to remain in the country.

  • What should you do? Call us. Often times there is a defense or form of relief which can allow you to stay. You may even have a situation which allows you to walk out with a Green Card! You will feel better knowing that you are speaking with an experienced attorney who will assess the situation and discuss all strategies and defenses. You will also rest assured that when your court date arrives, you will come to court with experienced representation.

The Law offices of Jeffrey D. Garfin has years of experience and has represented many just like yourself. So instead of dreading your court date (or worse ignoring it!), contact us. Because many immigration applications have deadlines and are time sensitive, your best chance to preserve your options and an effective strategy is to act now. Contact us, and let’s plan for your future.
